Hummingbird & meyer lemon

When the pandemic shut down my tattoo income I made a post "Will paint for food!" A kind follower commissioned me to paint this in honor of a teenage patient she had cared for who died. Shortly after that happened, her three year old daughter saw a hummingbird near their meyer lemon tree and exclaimed "There she is!" It was profound to me how the feeling of fire, surely an element of spirit, just happened one day as I painted the background.
